The Best Confidence Tip!

I have used this confidence tip for the past 15 years, and it has transformed my life. This simple practice I used in my home and my car until it became a habit. I wouldn’t start the car until I looked at myself in the mirror and stated my affirmation. My confidence mantra then became so much second nature, that if I woke up in the middle of the night with anxiety, I automatically began my mantra and felt my body relax.

Use the power of something tiny to create great change. The practice I developed is a modified version of a self-help exercise used by many motivational speakers including Louise Hay. I changed it from a 15 minute exercise into a 10 second mantra. I believe something shorter said more often is much more effective in truly transforming your mind, and therefore your life. It helps to counteract the ‘negative’ talk that your mind often does when you look into the mirror.

This 10 second confidence exercise you repeat each time you get in your car, or look in the mirror at home. Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. Five Fingers. You can do the exercise without them, but they allow to you totally focus on you (instead of counting) – thereby improving your results.
  2. A mirror. This is the mirror in your car and one in your bedroom or bathroom.
  3. Two sticky notes with “I BELIEVE IN YOU” written on them. The notes are to remind you to do the practice until it becomes a habit. Put one note on the mirror in your home that you use most often, and the other in your car.

The Exercise: Everytime you look into the mirror you stop and say “I believe in you” 5 times. Use your fingers to count, so it’s easy to do anytime, anywhere.

Commit for a 30 days and see the difference it makes in your life!
