Kefir or yogurt...(emotional benefit: we work as a team) - both are high in probiotics which optimize digestion and immune support. Studies show a connection between the health of our gut and the health of our brain & emotions, and that a lack of certain probiotics can be linked to depression.

Nuts/Seeds...(emotional benefit: strong beginnings) - The omega-3 fats provided by any of the seed options have been shown to help combat depression and are effective for overall brain health and better memory.

Vanilla...(emotional benefit: life is good) - one of my favorite spices that I use consistently. Natural vanilla is an anti-depressant that uplifts moods and emotions while simultaneously creating a sense of tranquility.

Smoothie for Joy (1 10-oz Serving)
Ingredients:
2 oz orange juice
4 oz kefir or yogurt (plain or vanilla & cultured is best)
½ cup mango, chopped (fresh or frozen)
1 tablespoon ground chia, hemp or flax seeds
1 teaspoon vanilla extract—the real stuff
1 teaspoon raw honey
Dash of cinnamon
1 squirt JOY Beverage Booster
Handful of ice

Place all ingredients into a blender. Blend on high until smooth and enjoy!
